from Captains Jack & Marianne Plunkert aboard Gravyboat, Bimini, Bahamas:

We just wanted to let you know how thrilled we are with our Lynx 2! We had no problems installing it, and it works seamlessly with our Windows Vista operating system. We were able to get internet access at our anchorage off the Biscayne Bay Yacht Club with no problems - in fact, there were several networks available. We are currently at the Blue Water Marina in Bimini, and we are the only ones, to our knowledge, who can get internet access on our boat. Everyone else has to sit near the marina office. Some of these cruisers have some other wifi boosters installed on their boats, but apparently, their boosters don't work as well as ours. We've had many requests for your contact information and we have passed it along. Thanks for providing this product which is making communications so much easier.

My wife and I just want to say how much we enjoy having our Lynx Wifi system installed on our 33 trawler " Barefoot Shoes". It was a snap to install and has given us years of reliable wifi service. Having a "Lynx" has certainly made it easier to stay connected to friends and family. Thanks again for a great product !!

If you have difficulty with your internet, you need a WiFi Solutions Lynx. After many
years of problems getting a signal, I finally found the solution with Lynx. Easy
installation for a small price. I am very satisfied.

BONJOUR,

APRÈS CINQ ANNÉES DE DIFFICULTÉ AVEC MON SIGNAL POUR INTERNET J'AI VRAIMENT
TROUVÉ LA SOLUTION AVEC LYNX 2. EN FLORIDE OU AU BAHAMAS IL M'EST FACILE DE
TROUVÉ UN SIGNAL. PAS DISPENDIEUX ET FACILE À INSTALLER SOI-MÊME.

from Captain Joe Gherardi aboard the Amarok:

Ahoy Al:

I'm w
riting to let you know how pleased I am with your Lynx WiFi range extender equipment. I had originally purchased a Radiolabs external antenna system.  We were not pleased with the performance of that system and returned it to Radiolabs.  We then purchased your Lynx 1 system and mounted the antenna on top of our mizzen on Amarok our Morgan Out Island 41'. We have on occasion received WiFi signals from as far as 4 miles, and generally see a great increase in WiFi range. It is also nice to be able to use the computer below away from outside light interference.

Thanks Again,
Joe Gherardi

from Captain Bill Joshua aboard Latitudes-Attitudes, Fort Lauderdale, FL:

Installation of the Lynx 2 was a breeze, truly plug-and-play. Results were as advertised,  visible nearby networks increased from 3 without the system to 30 using the Lynx.

from Captain Peter MacDonald aboard Sequel II, Christchurch, New Zealand:

I've been meaning to drop you a note ever since we purchased the Lynx 2-M for Macs
to let you know that it has been a life saver. Well, not literally, but it has made life so
much easier since we have had it. As you know, we are from New Zealand and purchased
Sequel II in Fort Lauderdale one year ago. When we first arrived and were fitting out for
our cruise to the Bahamas, we used to go to a cafe some miles away to clear emails, etc.
Very inconvenient. Now with the Lynx, we simply select one of perhaps half a dozen
non-encrypted sites and we can spend as long as we like with emails and web browsing.
I think the thing that I like most is that it's so simple to use. Plug in the USB connector,
click the icon, select the site, click 'connect' and you're connected. Great!

from Captains Dave and Michelle Maurer aboard High Life, Fort Lauderdale, FL:

I depend upon Skype to stay in contact with my family and business. With a Lynx antenna from WiFI Solutions, we were appropriately set up with seamless, wireless connectivity which made it easy to get on-line and enabled us to hit distant internet hotspots near Port Lucaya and other distant cruising areas. With extended wifi range I can easily maintain contact with my business while enjoying cruising with my wife.  Thanks for keeping us connected!

We are thrilled with our Lynx Wifi range extender. Currently we are in the Exumas and have had excellent reception wherever we have been. We’ve had very strong signals from the local wifi’s. We chose the Lynx 2-M Plus for our Mac and PC because it didn’t involve any complicated installation and is so easy to use on both systems. While we are in the comfort of our boat getting online, almost every other cruiser here has to go into the marinas to pick up a signal. In fact, as I write this I have a strong signal as we are sailing from Staniel Cay to Black Point. Thank you for providing such a wonderful product. It is important for us to keep in touch with family and friends and to upload our website. In addition, our Internet phone has worked flawlessly with the connection we get. In the photo we sent, which was taken in Pipe Cay in the Exumas, you can see our Lynx wifi extender on a spare halyard just under the spreaders. With it up that high we get wonderful reception, but even down lower when we are sailing we get strong signals.

Well, we’ve done our 1st month with the Lynx 3 and I’m impressed.  I was very dubious about it when I shelled out the bucks, and hoped against hope that at least the thing would drag in a signal from marina office to boat.  Well, it does way more than that.  It is quite happy pulling a signal from shore on Black Point out to the anchorage.  We’re very happy with ours.

from Captain Mike Jastrzebski aboard Rough Draft:

I would like to say that I am completely satisfied with the antenna and highly recommend it to others. In fact, I am using it right now as I write this blog. Harbortown Marina, where we are staying  for the next couple of months, has free wifi. Without my antenna I find that I have 2 bars, occasionally 3 bars, in my notification tray. I have set up our antenna inside the boat leaning against our mast and find that I have 4-5 bars.  I know that I could get 5 bars all the time by moving the antenna outside, but it’s just easier this way.

If you go to the Bahamas and want internet service, you need an antenna. If you are interested in more information on the Lynx, contact Al Francone at
